Jules Verne

Jules Verne born February 1828 is considered one of the founding fathers of science fiction. His most popular story is the Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea in which Captain Nemo travels the ocean in an electric submarine.

The submarine, however, isn’t the only prediction that Verne came up with. He was also the first to consider Sky Writing, Video conferencing, the Taser, and even Lunar Modules that could carry human passengers to earth.

His role was instrumental in providing the foundational blocks in which scientists were able to create the invention.
